Changes and refunds
Our booking, cancellation and refund policy. It sits alongside our booking conditions and the details shown to you at checkout, which always take priority where the two differ.
Last updated 25 September 2026
All event tickets booked through our website are non-refundable once the booking has been confirmed, except where a refund is required by applicable law or where the event organiser or ticket supplier specifically authorises a refund.
This includes, but is not limited to, tickets for sporting events, concerts, shows, entertainment events and other ticketed experiences.
Customers should therefore ensure that they are able to attend the event before completing their booking.
Where an event ticket forms part of a booking that also includes flights, accommodation or other travel services, the ticket remains subject to its own cancellation terms and will normally remain 100% non-refundable.
Where eligible, we may allow customers to book certain Sports & Events packages using a low deposit of £29.00 per person, in addition to any event ticket amount or other non-refundable sums that are required at the time of booking.
The £29.00 per person low deposit facility relates to the applicable travel elements of the booking and does not make the event ticket refundable.
If a customer cancels a low-deposit booking before the final balance has been paid, the following amounts will be non-refundable:
Depending on the cancellation terms of the suppliers involved, additional cancellation charges may also apply.
Once the booking has been paid for in full, customers should assume that the entire booking is non-refundable in the event that they choose to cancel, subject always to the individual terms of the airline, hotel, event organiser and other suppliers and any rights available under applicable law.
This may include:
Where any supplier does permit a refund, amendment or credit, this will be subject to that supplier’s individual terms, conditions and charges.
Any recoverable amount will only be refunded once it has been received or authorised by the relevant supplier.
Event tickets, flight documentation, hotel vouchers and/or other travel documents may not be issued or made available until the booking has been paid for in full.
Customers should not expect to receive their final tickets or travel documentation immediately after paying a deposit.
Event tickets may also be issued closer to the event date in accordance with the event organiser’s or ticket supplier’s normal fulfilment procedure.
The fact that tickets or documents have not yet been issued does not mean that the booking can be cancelled without charge. Once we have confirmed the booking with the relevant supplier, the applicable cancellation conditions will apply.
Flights included within a Sports & Events booking are subject to the airline’s fare rules and conditions.
Depending on the fare booked, flights may be non-refundable and may also be non-changeable.
Where an airline permits a change or cancellation, any applicable airline charge, fare difference, administration fee or other supplier cost will be payable by the customer.
Hotel accommodation is subject to the cancellation conditions applicable to the particular rate booked.
Some hotel rates may initially be refundable but become non-refundable after a specified cancellation deadline. Other hotel rates may be non-refundable from the moment the reservation is confirmed.
If a customer cancels after the hotel’s applicable cancellation deadline, the hotel cost may be lost in full.
All cancellation requests must be made to us in writing at help@sportsandevents.net.
The date on which we receive the cancellation request will be treated as the cancellation date for the purpose of calculating any applicable cancellation charges.
We will confirm the cancellation and advise the customer of any sums that are non-refundable or remain payable.
Customers should not assume that cancelling one element of a booking automatically cancels the remaining elements.
We strongly recommend that all customers have comprehensive travel insurance in place from the date the booking is made.
The insurance policy should be appropriate for the destination, event and activities being booked and should provide adequate cover for circumstances including, where appropriate:
Customers should check their insurance policy carefully to ensure that it provides sufficient cancellation cover for the total value of their booking, including any non-refundable event tickets.
The responsibility for arranging appropriate travel insurance remains with the customer.
If an event is cancelled outright and not rescheduled, we will refund the ticket price in full. If it is postponed, rescheduled, relocated or otherwise changed by the organiser, the remedies available will depend upon the terms imposed by the event organiser or ticket supplier.
A change to an event does not automatically result in the cancellation or refund of flights, hotels or other travel arrangements. Flights and accommodation are separate services and remain subject to their own supplier cancellation conditions.
Customers should therefore ensure that their travel insurance provides appropriate cover for circumstances where an event is cancelled, postponed or materially changed but their associated travel arrangements remain valid.
All components of a booking are additionally subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant suppliers, which may include airlines, accommodation providers, event organisers, ticket suppliers and other travel providers.
Where a supplier’s cancellation condition is more restrictive than the general terms set out within this policy, the supplier’s specific conditions may apply.
Nothing within this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any rights which cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable UK consumer law. This policy sits alongside our booking conditions, which set out the full terms your booking is made on.
By completing a booking, the customer acknowledges that:
